This perfume bottle was a project for my Product Design class. We had to create a user persona, design the bottle and then fabricate it from a block of transparent acrylic.
PROCESS AND FABRICATION
I cut the primary acrylic form on the bandsaw, hand sanded it and polished it on the buffer wheel. While I was buffing it, the wheel tore the piece out of my hands and part of it broke on the floor. I took this as an opportunity to improvise and re-made the point out of a wood scrap and painted it so it looked like a lid. The stand feature was made of a copper scrap that I inset into the acrylic.
