IT'S LIT (2017) 36”x48”x48”

“It’s Lit” was my final project for my freshman year 3D Foundations class. This project marked my transition from concentration primarily on illustration to 3D design. The assignment was to create something functional or non-functional from laser cut acrylic.

IDEATION

This was my first time ideating with cardboard and discovered I love the process of “sketching in 3D”. I wanted to create something that looked fluid while only using flat material; drawing inspiration from lava lamps.
